Manufacturing process

Bone china is a type of porcelain that is composed of bone ash, feldspathic material, and kaolin. The 30% bone ash helps enable thin, walled pieces to be made with a more delicate appearance and translucency compared to porcelain, and allowing for greater chip resistance and durability. Fine bone china is thinner and lighter in weight than porcelain. It is a three-firing process in which the decal with Charlotte’s motif is fused with the varnish in the third firing.  Made in Germany.

    Absolutely love these mugs

    I received my 4 mugs in a very short time and I highly recommend them. It is great they are made out of porcelain and retain the heat of my coffee longer than other mugs. And I like the design and of course the animals on the mug. I will be buying more!

    The most wonderful mug ever

    We have collected the mugs with Henry and his family. We also have Henry as a cutting board and we have the two small rectangular trays, (need to get some more) and we have the large round tray. Absolutely love the series. Not only is it beautiful, the quality is impeccable. Our family loves hedgehogs, so these were a must at our summer cabin.
